As the sister property to the legendary Wynn Las Vegas hotel, Encore at the Wynn only serves to build on the reputation that the resort has developed for itself over the years. It has helped to amass the record-setting number of Forbes’ 5-Star rankings that the pair of properties carry, as well as provided more entertainment and nightlife options to guests then most would have thought possible.
Encore was added on to Wynn Las Vegas after its initial opening and the new Encore tower of suites with an accompanying casino and entertainment space opened to the public in 2008. With its Asian-influenced interior design and opulent landscaping and décor, the Encore hotel is a showpiece that is considered to be among the best in the world. While the hotel is a little further from the action than some of the other Strip resorts, many guests enjoy the exclusivity and quieter vibe of the Encore at the Wynn.
Encore Casino
The casino area of Encore features more natural lighting that you’ll find in traditional Las Vegas casinos, making for a more pleasant atmosphere in which to gamble. There are plenty of table games to choose from and there are also slot machines to fit any taste. The Race & Sports Book and Poker Room are located just a few steps away in the Wynn casino.
Encore Hotel
Encore Las Vegas is an all-suite hotel, so anytime that you book a room there, you can count on having plenty of space to move around. High-speed internet access is included in the reservation and you have the option of requesting a room with a view of the Strip, the pool area, or downtown Las Vegas, something that you can’t get at the Wynn hotel.
The Encore Resort Suite comes with either 1 king or 2 queen-sized beds and a separate living area for lounging. Go with the king and enjoy a 42” swivel TV that can be viewed from the bedroom or the living room, but both floor plans have a spacious marble bathroom with both a tub and a shower. A desk is also provided to give you a place to work, if need be.
In the Encore Resort Panoramic View Suite, floor-to-ceiling windows offer guests incredible views of the Las Vegas Valley. The Panoramic View suites are located on the 50th through the 63rd floors, ensuring that every last one has a sweeping vista of the city below. The room is also outfitted with a comfortable work area, allowing you to mix business with pleasure without ever having to leave your room.
Encore Tower Suites
For the ultimate in exclusivity, make your reservation for the Encore Tower Suites. Guests there have their own entrance and registration, as well as an all-access pass to the private Tower Suites pool. Daily breakfast in your room is just one more perk that comes with staying at the Encore Tower Suites.
At over 700-square feet, the Encore Tower Suite is the smallest room in the tower, though it still manages to deliver big on both style and luxury. The view of the Strip from any of these suites is phenomenal and the touch-screen controls for the curtains, lighting, room service and privacy is just next to the bed, allowing guests to remain comfortably ensconced under the blankets for as long as they like.
In the Encore Parlor Suite, you’ll find a beautifully appointed living space and separate bedroom, as well as a private massage room and a wet bar for your entertainment. The Parlor suite has a marble bath with a glassed-in shower, an air jet bathtub and a pair of sinks with a 13” LCD TV built right in. Ideal for work or entertaining, the Parlor Suite is precisely the right spot for mixing work and leisure.
The Encore Salon Suite is spacious enough to host a dinner party or to watch the game on the 65” HDTV in the living room, while still offering you plenty of privacy in the opulently decorated bedroom and master bath. There’s a wet bar and massage room in this suite as well, and room to seat up to eight people comfortably. You’ll never want to leave your room when you stay in a Salon Suite and with the private massage room and complimentary breakfast in bed every morning, there’s really no reason you should have to.
If you’re planning to visit Las Vegas as a group or family, the Encore Two Bedroom Apartment Suite is the perfect place to call home during your stay. With gorgeous views from every window, there’s no need to haggle over who is getting the best bedroom, and all of the bathrooms are loaded with a full complement of amenities, including rain showers, deep-soak whirlpool tubs and LCD TVs. You’ll also have a butler’s pantry complete with a refrigerator at your disposal, making entertaining in your apartment suite extra easy and convenient.
Finally, the Encore Three Bedroom Duplex Suite has everything you could want from a 5-star suite and then some. The first floor is where you’ll find one of the bedrooms, a loft-style living room and dining area, a billiard room, and a private room for massage and exercise. You’ll enjoy two-story windows in the living and dining rooms that fully capture the beauty of the city and desert landscape below, as well as room to seat up to sixteen people at a time. Take the in-suite elevator up to the 2nd floor where the other two bedrooms are also maxed out with amenities. All three of the bedrooms have a 42” LCD TV which can be hidden away when not in use, and a private bathroom with a rain shower and deep-soak tub. Your party will also have access to a concierge that is dedicated to making you and your group’s vacation their top priority.
Dining Options at the Encore Las Vegas
If you ever do decide to come down from your room, you’ll discover that you have a great assortment of world-class restaurants and casual dining options to choose from. Aside from all of the fantastic gourmet restaurants that call Wynn Las Vegas home, Encore has its own bevy of dining spots that all have great reputations in their own right. Even better, vegetarians and vegans can rest assured that every single restaurant in these two hotels will have meatless and dairy-free options available during any meal. Through a collaborative effort with vegetarian chef extraordinaire Tal Ronnen, the executive chefs at all of the hotels’ eateries developed healthy and delicious vegan and vegetarian meals to satisfy a wide variety of dietary restrictions.
Perched above the Encore Beach Club, Andrea’s offers food with an Asian influence in a chic setting, making it one of the most popular eateries in the Encore hotel. Botero is Encore’s steakhouse, and it features prime cuts of beef served among the artwork of South American artist Fernando Botero, for whom the restaurant is named. If you’re in the mood for a little Italian, head on over to Sinatra, a Forbes’ 4-Star winner and a sweet tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes himself.
For those who are looking for more casual fare, Encore Las Vegas has you covered. Try Society Café for breakfast. The atmosphere here is a blend of Victorian concepts with modern twists, creating the ideal place to enjoy a meal with friends. It also has the top spot on About.com’s list of the best places in Las Vegas for your morning meal. Wazuzu, meanwhile, offers Pan-American dishes with influences from Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisines. The artful arrangement of the meals that are prepared here is in keeping with the stylish setting in which they are served. And if what you want is a good, old-fashioned New York-style deli, Zoozacrackers is the place to go. Bar seating is available and there’s a more relaxed vibe at this offbeat restaurant.
The Encore Lobby Bar & Café is a great spot to get some cocktails before heading up to the room at night, as well as to have coffee or tea service in the morning. For a more sophisticated atmosphere with a bit more privacy, try Eastside Lounge deeper in the casino. There you’ll find live entertainment and tables overlooking the pool, paired with comfortable seating and excellent service. To sample vodkas from around the world, head over to VDKA, located just outside of Andrea’s. They serve vodka using a dispenser system that is chilled in order to provide you with a shot that is always perfectly cold. They’ll also create mixed specialty drinks using any of their infused vodkas that you prefer.
Relax
When you want to relax, there are plenty of ways to do it here. Like the Wynn, Encore has temperature-controlled pools and Jacuzzis for you to relax in throughout the seasons. There are private cabanas for rent that have everything you could want, including a mini-fridge, seating and a large-screen TV for entertaining. The salon and the spa here are both known for their levels of service and expertise and making an appointment can easily be done online, so visiting either one will only leave you feeling more relaxed than ever before.
Nightlife at the Encore Las Vegas
When it comes to nightlife, Encore has some of the hottest and most exclusive clubs on the Strip. XS Nightclub has been recognized as one of the most popular nightclubs in the world and club-goers love it for the fact that they can lounge in a cabana by the pool or enjoy bottle service at a private table. If you really want to go all out, order the club’s signature drink, but be aware that this cocktail has a US$10,000 price tag attached. It’s called the Ono and the drink is made by combining a classic 1981 Charles Heidsieck champagne with Remy Martin Black Pearl cognac. The Ono will also come with a pair of silver cufflinks for men and a white gold chain with a black pearl pendant for women to keep as a souvenir of your night. Phenomenal dance music and world-renowned DJ’s have made XS the undisputed champion of Las Vegas Strip nightclubs. Nearby, Surrender offers a more intimate setting, but no less excitement thanks to great beats and house dancers.
Encore Beach Club is like nothing that you’ve experienced before. This dayclub has over two dozen cabanas, each featuring comfortable seating, refrigerators and TVs, or you can opt for one of the eight bungalows, with bathrooms, air-conditioning, views of the Strip and infinity dipping pools. Guests of the hotel get preferred entry to the club, by purchasing tickets ahead of time through the concierge. Read more about the Wynn Hotel and Casino.
